We’re so thrilled to be offering classes for adults once again – and we’re even more thrilled to announce that Ralph Redpath will be teaching them! Ralph has directed more than 60 shows at ACT, including the acclaimed production of To Kill a Mockingbird, and has appeared in or directed over 100 shows during his 44 year history as a member of the acting/directing company at Flat Rock Playhouse. Ralph holds an MFA from the Yale School of Drama, where he trained alongside Meryl Streep.
What former students have shared:
“I liked the size of the group and the camaraderie & mutual support from other class members was phenomenal! Ralph was the key for me – wealth of experience acting, directing, and managing. His observations were practical, easy to understand, and pertinent.” – Ron B.
“It was really a spectacular learning experience.” – Misha S.
“I had 3 goals when I signed up and all were accomplished:
1. To have fun because I enjoy theater
2. To find out how to get involved at ACT and meet people to get involved
3. To stretch myself and step out of my comfort zone.
BONUS: I was cast in the Readers Theatre [production of] Last of the Aztecs!” – Pat B.

Spring Session: February 3 – April 14, 2015
Tuesdays 6:30-8:30 pm
Come work on your craft! The Adult Acting class is geared towards experienced actors with some (or a lot) of experience and who are looking for a theatrical work-out. Dancers typically work at the barre every day. This class is an opportunity for you to go beyond: expand your range and work outside roles in which you are usually cast. Scenes can be provided – or you can bring in your own.
Cost for the class is $150.00.
To register for class contact Chanda Calentine, ACT Education Director, at 828-254-2939 ext 27 or at email@example.com. She is in the office from 10am until 4pm Mondays – Fridays.
